Bernardo O'Higgins Monumental Park

The Bernardo O'Higgins Monumental Park is a green and cultural lung located in front of the square of Chillán Viejo and honors the Chilean hero and illustrious son of the commune. It is in that precise place where the house where Bernardo O'Higgins was born and raised is located.

Currently, in the park, there is a cultural center, a mausoleum with the remains of his mother and sister, a statue of Bernardo O'Higgins, and a mural depicting his life, made by Maria Martner, which was declared a national monument.

Practical Information:

• The park has parking areas in the Chillán Viejo square or in some of its adjacent streets like Ángel Parra, Serrano, and Virrey Don Ambrosio Streets.
• The place has enough space for the installation of dressing rooms, catering areas, and bathrooms, among others. To shoot in municipal places or spaces it is very important, first of all, to get the proper permits with the corresponding municipality.
