It is almost 900 meters long and covers this infrastructure that crosses the Itata River in the commune of Coelemu. Inaugurated in 1916, after the collapse of the previous bridge in 1898, the construction had an important value for the resident community, since it connected the commune with the rest of the Ñuble Region. The infrastructure was formally used until 1985, the year in which a new bridge over the river was inaugurated, so, given its important contribution to local development, it was recognized as a National Historic Monument in 2003.
