Footbridge Las Veguillas

In order to connect El Caracol sector of San Fabián with Las Veguillas sector of Coihueco, Las Veguillas footbridge was built in 2020. At 140 meters long, this viaduct is the second-longest suspension bridge in Chile and the first of its kind in the Ñuble Region. In the past, the community that lived in these sectors used to cross from one bank to the other in a cart that moved along a steel cable.

Today, Las Veguillas footbridge has a maximum capacity of 9 tons, allowing the transit of pedestrians and small motorized vehicles. The red color of its structure, added to the mountain landscape, is a visual spectacle not to be missed in the region.
