On the shores of the Pacific Ocean, along the coast of the commune of Cobquecura is the Nature Sanctuary "Iglesia de Piedra", a beautiful protected area that extends five kilometers from north to south and 500 meters from east to west, sculpted by the rhythm of the waves, where the coastal landscape of Ñuble intermingles with the magic of the Chilean countryside, forming a unique and special place. In 1992, it was declared a National Monument, in the category of Nature Sanctuary, together with Lobería Islet, endorsing the value it gives to the commune and the resident community.
